In the heat of the track, under the roar of the crowd, Chrisia Mae sprinted her way to the finish line, dominating the secondary girls’ 3,000-meter run. But beyond the cheers and stopwatch, her story struck deeper.

“Naiiyak po ako kasi nakuha ko po ‘yung gold… hindi po nasayang ang training,” she said, barely holding back tears as her voice trembled from emotion and exhaustion.
