Mika Salamanca × Fynestchina Issue: Trusted ‘friend’ Revealed In Quarantine Controversy

“Friend ko lang naman siya”…”—but it cost more than just trust

Social media is once again buzzing after influencer Fynestchina confirmed on TikTok Live (June 5, 2025) that she was the “trusted friend” Mica Salamanca referred to during the infamous Hawaii quarantine breach incident.

Back in 2020, Mica was criticized for allegedly violating mandatory quarantine rules during her trip to Hawaii. At the time, she justified it by saying:
“I just went out to see one friend — someone I really trust.”
That “friend” remained unnamed… until now.

TikTok Live Confession

In her live stream, Fynestchina said:

“Yes, ako ‘yung friend na tinutukoy niya. We hung out. But I didn’t know she wasn’t supposed to go out yet. I wasn’t aware of the full quarantine rules back then.”

She added:

“She trusted me, and I didn’t mean to put her at risk. But I didn’t force her either. That was her decision.”

Netizens: “So it was him all along???”

Reactions online came in fast and heavy:

  • “Ang tagal naming hinulaan kung sino, ‘yun pala si Fynestchina???”
  • “Now it makes sense kung bakit ayaw i-name ni Mica dati.”
  • “Grabe, that trust cost Mica her credibility that year.”

The hashtags #MicaSalamanca, #Fynestchina, and #QuarantineIssue shot up the trending list after the live aired. It may be 2025, but internet receipts last forever.
